Lunch and Learn

Image
Did you know that our office Elan Family Wellness Centre offers on site educational lunch and learn opportunities?  Here we are presenting to carya Bowmont Families Together and Bowwest  Community Resource Centre-two community groups that provide invaluable resources to many local residents. We hope to share information that our participants can take back to their workplace to support improved health and wellness for their partners and employees. A healthy and happy workplace means healthy and happy people! For this lunch and learn, we were happy to be able to work with Redefin'd Calgary , a youth empowerment centre that just happens to prepare amazing lunches in the Bowness Community Association.  Thank you to Carya and Bowwest for hosting us for this Lunch and Learn. To book a lunch and learn or health and wellness talk for your office or business, give us a call at 403 217 5577, or email us at elanctr@telus.net.

Scott's Thoughts: August

Thank you to Scott Hutchison, Registered Massage Therapist at Elan Family Wellness Centre in Bowness, for this article on the end of summer and recent community contributions!  It's almost over! #summer #gone Back to school is on the mind of most parents by now. Certainly the retailers, but I hope the kids are still lost in the long summer days. Having as much fun as possible in the wonderful weather in western Canada. Thank you very much! August 1 st  you will see a little box and some bracelets for sale in the office. Have a look, buy a bracelet. The funds raised are being handled by an amazing young girl facing her own health, the world with grace, dignity and a mission bigger than herself. She needs a bit of...

Stampede 2017 Highlights

The Back-Mobile in the Bowness Stampede Parade. This year's theme: "We've Got Your Back". Not only was our office in the parade, but we also opened Elan for a Mom and Babe Sanctuary, for parents to feed, nurse, change bums, or just escape the sun and crowds.  The Simon House invited their neighbours for a BBQ Lunch. Here we are with a former practice member Ravi and Associate Health Minister (and friend!) Brandy Payne.    Scarlett and I en route to the Carya Pancake Breakfast held in Montgomery. Carya provides resources and support for families and seniors in our neighbourhoods.  Yee-haw! Its been a fun Stampede and we hope you enjoy this look at a few of our local events!
