Blessingway Art
Scarlett and I had our Blessingway in early June. We held it as a way to mark our transition from single motherhood and single kid-dom, to new parenthood and sibling"hood". We had friends and family present-from 6 year olds to grandma! Some activities were traditional, such as the wrist binding, and some we're not, like the piñata for the girls! Our two art projects are here: affirmations/advice for birth or parenting or sibling life written or drawn by our well wishers. Birthing necklace with beads or stones from our friends and family. Scarlett has one too, although not shown! Some of the beads include ones from travels (Indonesia); a pendant from far away family (India); a homemade glass pendant; an amazonite pendant for intuition & creativity; moonstones and rose quartz; beads for new beginnings, a rainbow baby, calming, hearts, and beads just because.
