Scott and Structure

Structure and Routine… At Elan, that's our focus for the month of September. By now you have the kids back in school, the days are getting shorter and colder, and its time to spend more of our time indoors and return to our routines. We have written words from our practitioners, with articles from this month's newsletter. I hope you enjoy the different perspectives!

Today I had an interesting conversation with a Tony Robbins Business Strategist. For those who don't know who Tony Robbins is... you need to go here or here (rough Tony language) or for sure ====> here. I promise, just those little videos will shift your perception in the time it takes to watch. Today we chatted about mapping out what our ideal structure of Elan would look like. I am not going to go into any details on that, it's top secret of course, but I will tell you that a key point is not forming a business plan. A Business MAP is much more important to arriving at a goal as a structure to follow.

Great, how does that relate to your health and relationship to health. Well... a map is more fluid and organic in it structure, but still contains a defined destination/goal. A story to illustrate perhaps. Once, Josephene and I rented a car in Madrid, Spain with the intent that we would drive it about 6 hours to the mountain town of Rhonda. If you have never been to either... stop reading this and fly directly to Spain. For those still here... the 6 hour route was the most direct, efficient, and relaxing we could have chosen. However, the night before the road trip... a GIANT Spanish rainstorm washed out the highway! We had had it all planned. It was all hinging on that route being the best possible way to get Rhonda. A bit daunted and under some pressure, we looked at a map instead of complaining about this horrific scene we were witnessing on the TV. We grabbed a MAP. You see, a map has a certain structure that allows for unexpected things/gifts/crazy/rainstorms to come up, but provides a network of options to be adopted based on those new parameters/environmental conditions. Simply put... we chose a new route around the effected area that lead us on a longer 8-10 hour drive. Along the way... we were gifted with an amazing meal, experienced the Plains of Spain sans rain, got to see the outskirts of Seville under 4 inches of water, and arrived safely... albeit a little delayed, in the fabulous Rhonda, Spain. Home of bullfighting and for a time, Hemingway.

We often have goals we need to reach, financially related, health related, relationship related, spiritually related, but get caught emotionally when things aren't going according to “plan”. But if we use a map... we can build in options as variables come up. Blown engines, sickness, and water levels are now a non issue because we have an overall structure that has a fluidity and response to energy being put into it.
If you would like to learn more about creating a map like structure for your health.. talk to Rob, Josephene or myself. With reorganizational healing and living... the Map becomes a knowing that is felt, behaved and lived.
