Earthing

April is Mother Earth Month at Elan Family Wellness Centre. Thank you to Dr Robert Clarke, Network Spinal Analysis Chiropractor at Elan, for this article on Earthing.

Connecting to the earth is essential to good health. In recent years Earthing (making physical connection with the earth) has become trendy, yet for most of us we know that spending time in nature is good for us. Researchers now measure the benefits. So whether it's your backyard, a walk in one of our amazing parks in the city, or getting out of town to enjoy nature, the benefits on our bodies and our brains is profound.

To be considered Earthing, your body must connect with the earth. Walk with bare feet, get your hands into the soil, hug a tree or, lay on grass and watch the clouds. This way we directly feel the magnetic force of the  earth, we feel its frequency. This is more powerful than so many of the medications people are prescribed, helping moods, anxiety, inflammation, and a large host of medical disorders. This practice assists us in grounding, mentally and physically.

The amazing thing is, as little as 5 minutes 3 times a week can produce profound health benefits. Of course more is better, so get outside! Enjoy nature! Connect with it mentally and physically! And have fun with it!
